Author and Poet

Writing has always been my escape.
It started with my thoughts and basic poetry, to convince myself I was real throughout a tumultuous childhood.
Then I discovered fan fiction and never looked back.
I started posting my fan stories when I was eleven years old. I won't tell you exactly when that was, but AO3 wouldn't exist for quite a while.
I continued for most of my adult life, and I credit my current positive mindset to the fandom and community I discovered over the years.
I identify as asexual, but not aromantic.
Love, not just romance, is my favorite thing; to write about, to watch, to read, to consume as a whole.
All I've ever wanted is to write stories that make people feel things.
For your heart to clench when lovers pine over one another, or for you to burst out laughing from the release of tension when they finally admit their feelings.
Or even just to read a fantasy story where people of color star and queerness is celebrated and for that to give you hope.

viva la revolution!

I wrote this book series as a way to process my rage and agony at the state of the world. People of color being murdered with no justice, queer and trans youth killing themselves and being killed, the genocide of the Palestinian people, and the massacres occuring in Sudan and the Congo. I had nowhere to put my despair, and it rotted inside me for a long time.

I realized I wanted to write stories in a world where we WON. In a place where decent people are allowed to thrive and flourish and focus on the real problems that need solving. (Like how to get that cutie with the cat ears to smooch them.) Pselmos is a place created by a benevolent and loving creator, where people with dark skin are the majority and race as we know it doesn’t exist at all. Where people with disabilities are accommodated, trans youth are celebrated, and bigotry of any kind is met with swift repercussions.
